Mother's Day was such a special one this year. Aspen and Colt brought me back a decorated pot and some seeds for flowers from their dad's. They also gave me a cute poem. Then David surprised me with some green treats and green things to do in the summer with the kids. A green cooler for picnics (or to hold water balloons), a container that will help fill water balloons and a green squirt gun. I have a feeling we are going to have a few water fights. After church we headed over to my parents where the boys made us steaks and we played games. It was one of the best Mother's Day ever. My kids mean the world to me.
Aspen had a Art and Music night at school this past week. The first graders did dances from the 70's all the way to the present. I don't know the name of the 70s dance that they did but then they did the twist, thriller, macarena, and ended with gangam style. She was so cute through all of it. The music teacher did a really good job with them. Then Aspen had a dance recital the next night. She was so excited for it. Baylee did her hair. She was excited to wear make up. She was just ready for the show. Luckily we didn't feel a threat of walking out of the show to 6 inches of snow. Aspen did such a good job. She knew her dances and looked so cute with her facial expressions. Darcee was having a competition with another parent as to who could yell the loudest for their dancer. Aspen loved hearing her name shouted out to her. Celise also had a performance the same night so we had to divide and conquer with attendance. David and his kids went to Celise's performance while my family and I attended Aspen's. I was sad that they were on the same night so we had to miss someones performance but that happens at the end of the year.
4 more days of school and then let summer begin. We already have things planned as far as activities go for the summer but no major trips as of yet. Pictures will be random but finally on the blog.
