That has been partly my fault. But I am excited that I am actually posting another post in the month of June :) So what have we been up to.....the first week of summer the kids went with their dad for a week. They went to Salt Lake but not really sure they did, they don't like to tell me :) But when I got them back there was plenty to do. Arrowhead has a summer camp that I signed the kids up for it. They went to it for 5 days (they missed one for our trip up north) and absolutely loved it. Aspen came home with a couple of coupons for treats and Colt came home with lots of papers :). We also did swimming lessons those same two weeks. Aspen is onto the back strokes and crawl. Colt still needs work. I was hoping that he would be able to swim without a life jacket when he got done. I just need to get into the pool with him to see if he can.
We have been swimming a couple of times at Great Grandpa's pool, once with Darcee and her kids. We have gone out to Sand Hollow to go out on Jay's boat and ride Justyn's jet ski's. We also went to see Tuacahn's Wish Upon a Star. It was a cute medley of Disney shows like Aladdin, The Jungle Book, The Little Mermaid and Tangled. It wasn't supposed to be a late show but right after intermission it started to rain so we had to wait like 20 minutes for the storm to pass. Colt and Aspen have also had sleep overs at Grandma Chris' and Hollee's house. All the cousins joined them at Grandma's house. They had a lot of fun playing with their cousins and even better, Grandma made it through the sleep over alive. She was doing it alone since Grandpa was at work. At Hollee's, it was just them. But they had a blast. She took them to the splash pad and the movie, Inside Out. They met some kids in her neighborhood and also watched a few movies at her house. They must have had so much fun because they both fell asleep on the way home and it was only 20 minutes.
So that is an update on the kids and now for me. David has switched his work schedule so he is working 4 10 hour days and gets 3 day weekends. He has loved it. We also have bought his Dad's boat....yikes. We took it out last week, once at Sand Hollow with Darcee, Jay, Kayleeya, mom and dad. It was a blast. David and Jay really know how to control that tube. Then for Father's Day, David asked to go to Lake Powell. Unfortunately, only Austin and Celise were able to come. Austin's friend Jake came as well. That was my first time on Lake Powell and only the second time I had seen it. That is one big lake. We just barely scratched a tiny portion of it but it was a fun time. We actually slept on the boat. The front of the boat is able to turn into a bed :) Only downside was that I had to come into the marina because I had some work meetings. That is one perk of my job though, as long as I have my laptop and internet I can take it anywhere. Our trip was short and sweet so we could get Celise back for work but I think everyone had fun. Unfortunately, David forgot to put on sunscreen so he had a miserable night last night. I got him some Lavendar oil to put on it and this morning I thought it looked a lot better. Well, I think that about catches me up for now. I will have more after this weekend :)

Hight girls weekend at Bear Lake
So a few months back Mom (Grandma) Hight told all the girls in the family that she was putting together a girls weekend in Bear Lake. How exciting!!! Well the week finally came. Our family headed up to Midway on Wednesday night to attend the family BBQ. Travis and his family had driven out from Alabama for a visit and girls weekend. Travis was the final sibling of David's that I had not met yet. Everyone had told me how much David and Travis looked alike and they were right. Travis is a little shorter but they really look so much alike. Kristen, Travis' wife, and I were able to talk bout the south. She knows where Oak Ridge is and has been in that area before.
I had work professional development on Thursday afternoon and Friday but David was able to go golfing with his dad, Travis and Austin while there. And the kids just had fun playing with all the cousins. After I was done with my work meetings, I met up with Kristina and we headed up to Bear Lake to join the rest of the family.
The house that mom got was simply amazing and big enough to hold all 25+ girls and not feel crowded. All of the older girls had the upstairs loft, that had 3 bunk beds and tons of floor room. The younger girls had the basement. Good thing the little ones can sleep in any position because I cringed at the way they curled up on the couch or seat and slept.
Saturday mom had arranged to get pictures taken by a photographer down on the beach. The weather wasn't ideal, cloudy and lightning over the lake. So we probably rushed through more than the photographer and mom would have liked but I have seen the sneak peaks and the pictures look so cute. We had a couple of girls that their hair was standing up due to the electricity in the air so we headed back up to the house. Then we mostly stayed around the house. Kristi, Shari, Julie and I did take the little ones to the swimming pool for a little bit. We went out for dinner that night and got famous Bear Lake shakes.
Sunday, Aspen and I went to the St. Charles ward. She wasn't too excited to be the only cousin going (Kristina took her girls to the later ward) but I was very proud of her for coming with me :). After church, Kristi, Shari, Julie and I took the little ones down to the beach to play. It was actually sunny on Sunday so the kids had fun and the moms didn't freeze. The beach with the reserve is a very nice one with just sand and no rocks. Kristen made tacos for dinner for everyone. She is an amazing cook. She also made homemade guacamole and tortilla chips...delicious. Katie and Audrey had birthdays so Kristen also made them a cake and we celebrated their birthday that evening. Sunday evening was filled with playing games and packing.
I have never seen Bear Lake not crowded but my mom said that they really only have 6 weeks were they are jam packed. Aspen was sad to leave her cousins but knows that we will be back there in a few weeks for my family reunion. It was a great trip with lots of great memories, including getting mooned by one of David's sisters :).

Sorry....I have had a rough couple of months
I have been doing horrible at writing this blog. When I lost my ability to type with my left hand, it just kind of slipped my mind. Plus my computer with pictures has moved into my kids' room so now I actually have to go in there to add pictures, which I hope to do this weekend. Anywho, I will try to catch up on some of the major things that have been going on in our lives.
Beginning of March, we ended up having to move due to our rental being foreclosed on. We moved in the Shadow Mountain area which is still in Snow Canyon High boundaries for Austin and Celise. I kept Aspen and Colt in Arrowhead and then found out there is a bus stop 1/4 mile from our house. So I just had to drive to the bus stop instead of the school :) If the kids can stay on the bus, I will keep them there.
Aspen has loved this last year. She has finally gotten some girl friends in her class. She has particularly become fond of Audra, a high functioning autistic girl. Mrs. Brey has said that Aspen has been so good to her. She was constantly making sure Aspen was ok with helping Audra out. Wendie, Audra's mom, has absolutely loved having Aspen around. I am so happy that Aspen is always asking when she can have play dates with her friends.
The end of the school year was definitely full of lots of activities. I had the opportunity to attend the 2nd grade field trip with Aspen. We went to Cal Ranch to see all of the animals they had. My little group of girls just loved the puppies and bunnies. Aspen wanted to take them home. We also went over to Wood Creations to watch how they make all sorts of crafts out of wood. All of the kids were given their first initial to bring home. Such a fun experience. Aspen also had a Geology Rocks program for parents to come watch. It was so good and Aspen did such an amazing job. Aspen also had a dance recital, which she did fantastic in. Grandpa Higgins and Sheila were able to come down and watch her recital and take the kids out for dinner. The kids sure did enjoy seeing them. Aspen has enjoyed school but was so excited when there was no more homework and reading. She is also excited for the summer activities that I have put her in Summer Learning Camp, Dance Camp, swimming lessons and a couple of trips to Bear Lake. Also this year is the big year she turns 8 and is therefore way excited to be baptized. Super packed summer will mean that school will start up before she knows it.
Colten has had a great year in kindergarten. He has come a long way in his reading, he is not always cooperative when it is time to read. He learned all of the kindergarten sight words back in February. He loves math time. And he is dang good, wonder where he gets that from ;) His class also did an end of the year field trip to Staheli Farms, where they got to see animals and what not. He was able to make a few friends and had quite a few show up for his party. So for his 6th birthday party he wanted to go to laser mania with a couple of friends. We were able to play laser tag with just our small birthday group. Kerry, another boy's mom, and I had lots of fun staying in one spot and just picking apart the boys. Colt was so happy to have his party there and have his friends come play with him there. Colt still loves going over to Uncle Jay's house and asks almost every day to go over there.
Colt had his kindergarten graduation the last week of school. Kindergarten teachers simply amaze me. Mrs. Seely had her class trained and not too many hiccups. The kids all knew their lines and sang their hearts out. Colt was lucky to have Mrs. Seely this year but is also super excited to be moving on to the 1st grade. He was sad to see school end so it has been nice to have him in summer camp :)
I can't seem to catch a break with my MS. I had my flare up over President's Day weekend that left my hand not working right. Over Memorial Day weekend, I ended up in the ER on Sunday with double vision. They did an MRI and didn't see any active lesions so I believe that means no progression. But I was on a high dose steroid for 5 days, that had to be given through an IV and I relied on my mom to get me places. Double vision was not fun and luckily only lasted about 5 days. My head is still in a fog even 3 weeks later but I am doing much better. AND after a long 7 months, I finally got my MS medication back in me. I am now on Tysabri (not sure of the spelling). This is also an infusion. I finally got the go ahead from Dr. Tudor (the hematologist) saying that he would rather me be on my MS medication and get monitored closely, than to not be on it. I agreed with him. Four years with nothing in regards to my MS and then after 5 months of being off, I have 2 flare ups....me not likey. So hopefully now I will be able to get back to my normal life with minimal interruptions.
My school year end at the beginning of June and it was by far my favorite year. I love the online teaching thing. The teachers are working through the summer on different ways the school can improve and have more students be successful. Now that I have a year under my belt, I am thinking of my own things that I can do in my classroom and looking forward to next year.
I still need to go back and add pictures to the last couple of posts. I am off all week so hopefully that gets done.
