Happy New Year!!! Can't believe we have started another decade...2020. Great things are coming for us :)
The kids spent a week with Grandpa Higgins and Sheila. They got to see their Aunt Kayla and her husband and Grant when they went up to Salt Lake. They also got to go to Great Grandma Higgins house and spend some time with her. They saw some of Sheila's family as well. They went to Fish Lake and walked on the frozen lake. They got spoiled for Christmas. I would say it was a great substitute for not going to their dad's.
While the kids were busy having fun, Zac and I worked on his house trying to get it ready for us to move in. His house flooded a while ago and his insurance would cover it so he has been living in a really rough situation for the past couple of years. So us moving in has given him some motivation to work on the house. The kids and I have worked as well, along with members from my family. Zac had Colten help him this past week on the mustang he is painting in trade for carpet. It has been good for Colten to have that interaction with a male figure and he is learning about tools so it will serve him later in life :)
Jay and my dad helped moved my stuff to a storage unit close to La Verkin. And of course I picked the coldest day, it even hailed for a little bit. But these two did not complain, well maybe just a little, but we got most everything out.
Wednesday night was the first night at Zac's house. Due to all the dust and everything, we put the kids mattresses in the one bedroom with carpet, Zac's. So we are all one happy family in tight quarters lol. We haven't killed each other yet lol. We work on the house all day and watch some Star Wars at night, most everyone is to sleep right after the TV goes off. The kids have been pretty good...only get yelled at if they don't listen lol.
But tomorrow brings back school and work for us. I got the internet hooked up on Friday so I am good to go for work. The kids are starting at their new schools tomorrow. Colten will be at La Verkin elementary and Aspen is off to Hurricane Intermediate. They are excited. Hopefully they make friends and enjoy their classes.
Well I have a few pictures but not on this computer so hopefully I get them on here before too long. Here is to a great 2020!
