Man...does April really have to end?

April is flying by
So we started the month off with General Conference and Easter, which were both good. We spent Sunday afternoon at my parents and ended up sleeping over cause we didn't want to drive back home. It was my Spring Break that week so I wasn't in a rush. Zac and Colten were working to get the motor home sanded and painted, I helped a little with the sanding throughout the week as well. On Tuesday, we tried to celebrate Channing's birthday by getting McDonald's (her choice). I ordered the food via the McDonald's app and when we went to the store there was no one there...seriously? We were frustrated but Channing settled on Taco Bell. Not the evening we had planned but oh well.
I spent my Spring Break working on my master's courses and was able to get one done, two more to go this term. I don't really remember doing much else other than watching the 3 Captain America movies lol and going for walks.
The following weekend Colten started his games for 7 on 7, the team lost both of them :( After the games, we headed back to Hurricane quickly to get set up for Channing's birthday party. Zac had bought a bunch of outside games to set up at the park. We had quite a few friends show up and family as well. My parents and Hollee's family came to it along with Zac's dad and his sister Kim's family. Channing got plenty of presents for sure.
Aspen has been busy doing her tech for the high school performance this up coming week. She spends her evenings doing the spotlight and sometimes the sound for the production.
This past Friday I took off of work cause why not have a 3 day weekend. Well turns out that I needed to spend it getting a lattice degeneration procedure done on my eye (next eye in 6 weeks) to hopefully prevent tearing and a detached retina. I didn't know what to expect but man did it hurt. Zac was an angel and drove me to the appointment. He then took Colten to Sugars cause he had promised him to try it and then dropped him off for his weekend with the grandparents. I text him when I was done and he came and grabbed me. We then went out to Christian's to get another tank and some food for the geckos. Oh but forgot to mention that he had gotten the paludarium from Sue's Pet Castle that he has been wanting for over a year so he had borrowed my dad's truck. Well, by the time we got to Christian's I was pretty much done and needed to get home. When I got home, Zac told me to go lay down, grabbed me a piece of bread (all I wanted) and then went to work for a little bit. I ended up taking a nap. I had felt like I had a headache in my eyeball since the procedure but when I woke up, I felt a lot better. Still took it easy that night, not doing much.
Saturday brought my birthday and more games for Colten's football. I wanted to get Waffle Love but it was packed. So, we dropped Colten off and ordered online for Waffle Love and ate it at the game. The first game Hurricane just wasn't into it and got beat pretty bad. The second game went much better, at least the first half. Not sure what happened the second half but they ended up losing. Colten was pretty sad but he headed home with the grandparents to do more ATVing and getting spoiled.
Zac took me up to Springdale to Oscar's cause Hollee just raves about it. It was good food but didn't think anything special about it. Hollee said we ordered the wrong food then lol. He then got me some cheesecake to top off the night. And he has assured me that it is still my birthday week lol. He knows me oh too well. Oh and Zac had gotten me the can opener I requested and had it sent to Hollee's for safe keeping.

Awe April...month of many birthdays
It's no secret that I love April and can't wait for March to end. Well this year is no different. So excited for it to be April :)
So Colten wanted to try to do Student Council again at school. He made it into the interviews but not beyond that. He was a little disappointed but we told him that he should focus on becoming a leader in his football.
Aspen has kept herself busy with her tech at the high school and art classes (well this week's was canceled). But she is still loving both.
Zac and Colten have been hard working on repainting a motor home. They are both busy sanding and sanding some more and sanding a little more lol. It should be done this upcoming week.
Last Wednesday we went to Annika and Channing's school Spring Fling. The school provided hot dogs, chips, water, snow cones, cotton candy and popcorn. Then there was bounce houses, obstacle bounce house, and bubble machine. Everyone had a good time.
Friday and tomorrow is Easter break for Aspen and Colten. Friday they were both at the booth, Colten working on the motor home and Aspen organizing the back room. Zac bought them both Dairy Queen for lunch. I finished up work and started my spring break by catching up on my Thursday shows lol.
Friday night Zac and I headed into St. George for date night. The guy whose motor home Zac is painting son just open a restaurant called Sugars. They specialize in spudnutz. I had never even heard of spudnutz but apparently it is a big thing. Sugars makes their buns out of potatoes. They also make doughnuts, which are so delicious. I can't remember what my dish was called but it had a scone (made of potatoes), sweet pork, mac and cheese and bbq sauce. It was really good. Zac got the fat boy hamburger. Huge burger. We both took pictures but Zac didn't send me his.
Saturday brought more sanding for the boys and Aspen went to the car show and picked up trash with her theater tech group. I put together April's Primary bundle and the kids' Easter candy bag while watching the first session. Then I went to sand with the boys while listening to the second one. We headed out to my parents for the Priesthood session. Aspen and I went to go get the boys (and mom and ourselves) the doughnuts from Sugars. It took a while to get the order so Aspen and I walked around the plaza and went into Lovin' Ceramics. Definitely a fun place for Aspen and I hope to get her back soon to actually do something.
Oh and this past week our kitchen (less than a year old) started to leak...like bad. So we are without sink water again. We went to Home Depot after conference to get a few things for Zac and the motorhome. While there we discovered the Wyze video doorbell. The Sunset location only had one so we snagged it up but was told the other store had 8. Hollee has been looking for months and the website says they are sold out so we headed over there to get her one. The other store keeps them locked up so that is why they had more lol. But we got her one and she was excited. Zac got it hooked up last night but will need to do more investigation on the different features today.
Also, this past week while we watched Raven, Tashlee, Annika, Channing and I walked to the city park. It was a windy day that didn't really bother us much until we headed home. The sidewalk from the park to the main road was a real work out because you were heading into the wind. I got a lot of resistance pushing the stroller and Tashlee and Channing walked their scooters until we faced.a different direction. All the kids had fun though.
