Well a few things are getting done lol

I can't say a whole lot is getting done because I try to work on my school, just can't seem the motivation to do the projects cause I am in much need of a break from school.  But a few things have happened (aside from my binge watching ER).

First off, the kids dad called me last Sunday and said that he was taking Aspen and Colten on a road trip to Denver, short notice, because Aspen wanted to do a road trip for her birthday.  Well, Colten was due to get his cast off on Thursday so his dad arranged to get in on Tuesday and get x-rays and he got it off!  All fixed up and ready for the rest of summer!

After he got his cast off, the three headed to Denver.  I got a few pictures on their way out.   Hope to get some more pictures of their trip when they get back today. They ate at the Dairy Queen in Price, same one we ate at when we when on our National Parks tour 2 years ago.

And today is Aspen's birthday!  I haven't talked to her yet but I hope she has had a great week celebrating her 14th birthday.  Can't believe she is 14 and she will be in high school next year.

As for what's been going on around the house, not much lol.  Zac has been working trying to get a few cars done before Bear Lake and me, well, watching ER, doing dishes and school when I feel like it lol.  We did have Annika this week, trying a new thing out where we split up the little girls during the week to work on their behaviors.  Annika did pretty good this week.  I was able to set up a play date with a girl from church that was her age and she spent the first 3 days of the week playing with Athena.  Channing had her play dates as well when she was here.  Just trying to get them with friends in the neighborhood.   A few other highlights from the week were feeding the chameleons tomato bugs (really big bigs) and watching them eat, the girls piling on their dad, and Zac and I getting some alone time together for more than a few hours.  We got our first weekend alone since probably last summer.  So, on Friday night we went out for dinner.  We tried a Mexican restaurant in Hurricane, I won't even attempt to spell the name.  It was good food but a little over-priced but we would prefer to go to somewhere else.  Then we headed to St. George and stopped at Home Depot.  We are going to try to get our attic a little cooler on our own so we needed to pick up some supplies.  We stopped by my parents to grab a staple gun and say hi.  Then Zac went to give a bid on a car from this bachelor guy.  Turns out he is a sculptor and has done things for Disney.  His theater room has amazing Marvel and Star Wars masks (some his own and others he bought).  Zac definitely wants to take Colten there.  When we finally got done looking at the amazing things he had, we went out for dessert at Cold Stone.  We kind of splurged and got their big ice creations.  The girl that made mine gave me so much ice cream.  Mine towered over Zac's.  Good thing we were kind and shared.

On Saturday, Zac and I went over to clean the booth so he could paint this next week.  Then he had a few more things to do to get ready so he let me stay home.  But when he came back we had a date night in.  I got us some candy and we watched The Mandalorian.  He worked on building the grow out tanks for the day gecko babies we've gotten while we watched but still had a good time.

Father's Day :)

Well this week was a great one.  Started out with a sister date for me.  Hollee and I were both needing a night out.  We started with dinner at Main Street Cafe.  Food was good, service could have been better.  We got seated at a table that looked like it was made for a pregnant woman.  Hollee claimed that as her spot lol.  Then we headed over to the theatre to watch Cruella.  I really enjoyed it.  Then we topped off the night by grabbing some chocolate milkshakes at Arby's.  Absolutely love our sister dates.

On Friday, I watch Oaklee and Raven while Hollee got her hair done.  It was fun to spend some time with my nieces, especially since Raven didn't cry when Hollee left.  Oaklee asked if I would jump with her and at first I said no but then I said why not.  It has been over 100 the past few days so the metal was a little warm but we were able to get some jumping in before it got too hot.  I got the girls to take turns jumping so that Raven was able to jump without getting injured by Oaklee.  After jumping we went in to watch Raya and the Last Dragon.  Surprisingly, we finished the movie.  Of course, we had to make lunch during it but still, we finished the movie :). After the movie finished it was nap time.  I was able to get both girls down and Oaklee stayed asleep for an hour, way better than the 30 minutes she has done before.  All in all, it was a great time.

On Saturday evening, we went to Raven's 2nd birthday party at Sand Hollow Aquatic Center.  Annika and Channing had never been down the slide there and were hesitant to go by themselves.  But with Zac's help and encouragement, they both went down and never stopped going, until the cake and presents came out.  Zac was able to take Raven down once with him and we talked Oaklee into going, multiple times.  Raven was so cute with her presents.  Most of them were in bags and she pulled each tissue out one at a time (until I told Hollee the time).  She loved each present she got.  And she was the best when she were singing "Happy Birthday" to her.  She was all smiles.  All in all, it was a great night and we definitely plan to go back again as just a family.

To start off our Father's Day, we got Domino's pizza for dinner.  We picked it up on our way back from the party and it was being pulled out right as we pulled up.  They bagged up the sauce and plates and we went on our way.  When we got home and the girls pulled out the plates, they said there is 7.  Zac was like "Guess we order often enough that they know our order and that we have 7 in our family.  Guess they didn't know that Aspen and Colten are gone right now" lol

Sunday was Father's Day so the girls and I treated Zac to an awesome breakfast.  Annika and Channing did place mats and decorations while Tashlee and I were making french toast, sausage and bacon.  We also present him with his first present, a chair (with cooler) with umbrella in black and gray.  After breakfast, we gave him his cards and Reese's ice cream cake.  This time he shared a sliver with us.  After lunch we played jacktv and did a FaceTime with Aspen and Colten.  Aspen spent this week going to girl's camp up at their dad's ward.  Sounded like her and Cassidy had a lot of fun.  Now Zac is catching some zzz's which means he has had a great Father's Day.

Nice relaxing week

Man, it was nice to have a week to just relax.  No work, no school, just me and the TV lol.  Just kidding, I I am keeping the house clean relatively.  Dishes and laundry are done, vacuum was done once so I consider it a successful week off cause I did watch more TV lol.

But on Wednesday, while I was cooking dinner, I got a surprise FaceTime from Colten to show me this

I guess he likes it.  He also had to go in to get his cast re-casted.  The waterproof one had kind of broken and he was able to bend his wrist so he got the good old regular cast.

Zac went in this past week to start on his dental work.  He was work on for an hour and got like 4 of the 6 fillings done.  He was numb on one side of his face and couldn't really smile but let me take a picture of it :)

Tash went to Young Women's last week and tie-dyed shirts for her and Aspen for Girl's camp since Aspen couldn't do it.  The white spots turned out more pink when it got done but Aspen likes it.  I didn't grab a picture of Tash's.

Zac and I have enjoyed watching the hockey playoffs, especially this last series which pinned the Golden Knights against the Avalanche.  Colten jumped ship and cheered for the Avs since he is at his dads.  And he had a good time trash talking the first two games, which the Avs won.  But the Knights went on to win the next 4 and knocked the Avs out.  Go Knights!  I've also enjoyed watching the basketball playoffs and what the Jazz are doing.  But the Suns is also a fun team to watch.  I watched the Suns vs Nuggets this past week and couldn't help but get a little giddy cause it looked like the Broncos were playing :)

This past weekend we got to spend it with Channing.  She did really well.  Got to play at JoJo's house on Friday, go to Wal-Mart and then have a sleep-over with Zac out in the front room.  On Saturday she requested to go to my parent's house for a sleep-over.  Well, we were going to head out after the animals got feed but she got invited to go to the swimming pool with JoJo.  We headed out when she got back.  We stopped at McDonald's for dinner.  Channing was using her teeth to open the toy and all the sudden she realized she pulled out her tooth.  She was excited at first and then got scared but wanted a picture to send to her mom.  It is the cutest thing.

My parents were at Home Depot cause they needed things to make the camper better (they had just gotten back from a week long camping trip).  But Channing was able to play McDonald's and watch a movie before she crashed.  We got up on Sunday, chatted for a bit and headed home for our church.  Channing was able to go to her Primary class for the lesson for the first time.  After lunch, we sat down to watch Raya and the Last Dragon.  Well, we didn't make it through it all.  I was in and out for the last little bit but Zac and Channing went out.  It was so cute.
