Yup...football has been welcomed back into our lives so my priorities have shifted lol. I'll do my best to catch up on the details of our family life.
First up on the list is Aspen...she has wanted to die her hair purple for a while and even bought herself some dye. Well we finally got around to doing it for crazy hair day at school. We had to bleach her hair first and then put the purple in. Well mom is not a hair dresser so it didn't turn out quite as well but she has had purple in her hair for a couple of weeks. But why I don't have a picture of the after hair is beyond me lol.
It was Annika's birthday on October 27th. Although we have been getting the girls on Tuesday nights while their mom works, we weren't prepared to do the party that night. Zac did deliver some treats and balloon to her at school. So on Wednesday we did her party. She was so excited. We had Dominos pizza for dinner, she had a medium pizza that she got to order what she wanted. Then we all went to Wal-Mart to pick up presents for her. I walked around with her while others picked out presents. She was so excited to see what everyone picked out for her. Then Zac couldn't pass up picking up cake and ice cream. It ended up being a late night for every one but was still lots of fun.
That Friday we got to go watch Annika and Channing do their yearly Halloween dances. They had the darker lights on them so it was hard to see them but they were cute none the less.
On Halloween, the kids and I headed to St. George early in the morning. Since Colten's team didn't make it to the championship, I had asked him if he wanted to go watch Snow Canyon demolish Canyon View and he said yes. So that is what we did, watch Canyon View get demolished. I think the score was like 38-0. At half time, Aspen went with Audra for their Halloween sleep over tradition. During the 4th quarter, Colten went to play football with one of his Hurricane buddies who was also at the game because of the blowout. Colten wanted to try and get a picture with Brody, his friend he has kept in touch with since moving out of St. George. I hope that they keep this friendship all through school. Colten promised a lot of the Snow Canyon players that they would see him next year in the championship game. After the game we went over to Grandma's and Grandpa's to grab some food and relax. Then we headed out to Jeramiah's game because his team made it to the championship game and unfortunately lost. The refs seemed a little happy to flag Dixie but still hard to watch him lose. Then Colten went with the Headley family for Trick or treating and a sleep over. Zac and I were able to have an enjoyable peaceful night at home.
On Sunday, when I picked up the kids, we were able to witness a Trump train. It is cool to see all the American flags, back the blue flags and Trump 2020 flags going down River Road. This year's election has been a little rough. I voted a few weeks ago so I didn't have to stand in line. The Associated Press called the election in favor of Joe Biden on Saturday but Trump has filed lawsuits in states where he thinks he has won. It is currently 12 days after the election, while the press and Biden are convinced he has won the election, votes are still being counted. So who knows what is happening.
Colten had a project in social studies to create a social class pyramid and he chose to do a 3-D model made of rice crispy treats. While mom helped with the treats part, he did a good job on creating the rest of it.
