But I promise that I have been busy so I'll see if I can catch up.
The kids and I moved out to La Verkin with Zac. His house was still needing work due to a flood that happened awhile ago. So we have spent most of the weekends busy fixing up different things on the house. Then on Martin Luther King day we were able to get carpet and flooring in the kitchen. Getting flooring turned the whole house around. We had all been sleeping in the master bedroom (the only place with carpet) since we moved in. Then a couple of weeks later we were able to get blinds for all the rooms. We were able to move the kids stuff in their rooms and that was heaven. We still need to get the cabinets for the kitchen finished and put in. But we did get the oven hooked up so we aren't living off of fast food. I am grateful to my family for all the help they put in. My dad has loaned us tools to get baseboards in and helped do some of it. Darcee and Jay have come out multiple times to help with little odds and ends on the house. Hollee and Jonah have hosted us for dinner when we didn't have the stove hooked up. We wouldn't have been able to get ready for the flooring without them.
The kids have started their new schools and seem to really be enjoying it. Aspen still misses her friends but has been to two parties and she loves riding the bus with her step sister. Colten loved being the new kid (he has never moved schools) and has enjoyed making new friends. He is not a fan of the mile walk to school and back but hopefully the weather warms up so he doesn't mind it as much. Aspen got called into the Young Women presidency for the younger class. She is enjoying planning activities and getting to know all the young women in the ward. I got called back into Primary two weeks after being in the ward. I am with the 6 year olds but with the 2 hour schedule it is not that bad....20 mins lesson time is perfect.
Aspen and Colten have been helping Zac with the mustang that he is repainting (trade for our flooring). Since they have worked hard Colten earned a PS4 and Aspen got a kitten. Zac also got himself two lizards. And we still have our two rabbits. We are turning into quite a house farm lol.
We have also watched Oaklee and Raven a few times since moving out here. Hollee is totally loving it and Oaklee loves having her cousins over. We were able to go to Oaklee's 3rd birthday party and go to her recital. Unfortunately, Oaklee wasn't in the dancing mood that day and just watched everyone else.
Colten has started a new karate dojo, Raven's self defense. He can do MMA, boxing, wrestling and jitzu or however that is spelled. He seems to be enjoying it. He is also looking forward to football being back in his life again. The kids and I went out to Grandma and Grandpa's house for the Super Bowl this year. We didn't care which team won since it was two teams that haven't been in a while. So we split the family so we had someone to cheer for. Of course, there was team swapping but the sisters ended up on the Kansas City Chiefs team and we rocked it! And the chiefs rocked it and won their first Super Bowl. It was a good game and I am happy for them. It was also fun to see the family in a more relaxed setting.
I can't really remember what else has happened in this short month and a half but we have definitely kept busy.
