So I still have a lot of catching up to do but writing two weeks in a row is a very positive thing. So I'll start by going back to the beginning of the month and see how far I get. Good thing I have pictures to help me remember :)
Arrowhead Elementary does a Life and Family week where parents, grandparents and siblings can come eat lunch with their students. Monday Aspen and Colten were joined by Grandma and Grandpa Chris. The kids had fun having them there. On Wednesday, we had moms and muffins in the morning and then I joined the kids for lunch that day. On Friday, they had dads and donuts and David was able to join them that morning for that.
Sunday February 7th was a big day in our family. The Broncos were playing in the super bowl against the Carolina Panthers. I had taken most of my Bronco stuff over to my parents on Saturday and Aspen helped Grandma make some treats for the big day. Everyone was there. We had TONS of blue and orange food and it was fun to watch the game as a family. Colt watched the entire first half but lost interest when it was half time and went to play with his cousins. It was not an impressive showing of the Bronco offense and they seemed to struggle to get in the end zone. Peyton Manning had a sub par game. They only converted on 1 3rd down out of 14 :( But the defense, man, they stole the show. Von Miller had an impressive 2 forced fumbles (1 was a TD) and 2.5 sacks. The Bronco defense finished 1st in all around defense and they showed it through til the end. Carolina and Cam Newton had the highest scoring offense of the season. Pretty much the exact situation Denver was in 2 years ago when they got humiliated in the Super Bowl. But it was great to see Denver win the big game. Justyn was finally excited to see the Broncos win the Super Bowl because he was on his mission when they won the other two. Now I don't know what I am going to do with my Sunday evenings...dull time of the year for me.

A little bit of crazy goes a long way...
So my little phone reminders do a great job of reminding me to update the blog HOWEVER they don't actually make me get on the computer and type up the update. *sigh* so here I am again with quite a bit to update about. I'll do my best to get everything in.
So at the end of January we had another basketball game for Colten. His team has really grown a lot this year, and we are playing in a better league where the boys can actually learn to play instead of playing against "professionals". Colt is a great defender and the guy he is guarding doesn't often get to score because Colt is glued to him. It has frustrated a few boys that he has faced.
On Jan 31st, Colt and I had a mommy/son date. Originally, Aspen had asked for a mommy/daughter date but then she got asked to go to her friend's house for a sleep over. But she found me a good replacement :) So I told Colt that he had $20 to spend. He wanted to go to the movie, Alvin and the Chipmunks. It was a cute movie. Then Colt wanted to go to Laser Mania and play laser tag. He had enough money for each of us to do one game and then he had money to do some of the games. He has gotten better since he last played and beat me in score. Then in the arcade there was a boy there just earning lots of tickets and handing them to Colt. So he had plenty to cash in. I got quite a few pictures but forgot to upload them to the computer before Colt's next game. Then I tried to email them and thought the email had sent so I deleted them :( and the email didn't go through. So here is what was posted to FaceBook.
Colt was Shadow and I was Twister.
That next Monday was a big day for Colt...he had had a loose tooth. So I worked on it during quiet time and we finally got it out. Their dad had always pulled out Aspen's teeth so I didn't know how hard I actually had to push and pull. But he hung in there and didn't complain too much and we finally got it out. He was so happy to finally have a loose tooth and that he could tell Mrs. Alvarado the next day.
