These kiddos were ready for the last day of school. Aspen has been waiting all school year to wear that shirt. They both found out who their teachers are for next year. Colt was hoping for Mrs. Brey, Aspen's 2nd grade teacher, but he got Mrs. Larson. I think that will be a good match for him. Aspen got Mrs. Marchant and have a couple of friends in her class this next year. Both kids earned the academic medallion this past year. They are doing really well in school and learning a lot.
Right after school got out, I had to head up to Salt Lake for work meetings and UTVA's graduation. Baylee, Alyssa and Alanah were over and helped watch Aspen and Colten. They sure do love when they come over. On Thursday, David tried to get the boat out to avoid the craziness of the holiday weekend but apparently it was stormy :( So that plan didn't pan out like he had hoped. So we braved the craziness and took the boat out on Saturday. And it was crazy. Very choppy for sure. We just put the tube in the water and the kids took turns riding on it. Austin had also brought out our jet ski. We had also brought the paddle boat that Grandma and Grandpa Chris bought us for Christmas. Aspen and Colten had a blast with that.
I took the kids over to my grandparents house to go swimming as well. We had the pool to ourselves. And it didn't take long for the older girls to come up with chicken wars. Aspen and Colt had a blast taking each other down.
